I can only say that Mr Norton and his team were a delight to meet and be treated so well. The whole experience was made as relaxed as could be and the feeling of being in the hands of a true professional doctor were an example to any NHS staff. The approach was careful and considered and explained all of which put me at ease and the Hospital, St Michaels, is a little gem for the NHS. Mr Norton went to great lengths to explain the why's and probables of my treatment, which in the end was successful as far as was possible. He answered all my questions and I felt the positive outcome eased my concerns and I knew I'd had the best treatment available. I can only say thank you to all concerned and your efforts are much appreciated.

Mr Norton is a very good listener and understood my problem, which was a "stuck" PSOAS muscle. He had previously given me 2 cortisone injections which weren't successful, however on the third attempt at the top of the muscle success at last! Although not a full release it is sufficient to allow me to raise my leg to a reasonable level and walking is also improved. I appreciated particularly his giving me a full background to the whole event and his precise positioning of the injection without side effects.

From the very first consultation Mr Norton has put me at ease (which originally must have been quite a challenge as we both had to wear masks at the time). He has always clearly explained how arthritis is now affecting both my hips, and what the options for treatment and surgery are. He is clearly very experienced but it is also refreshing to get direct, pragmatic answers to any questions I have had regarding the pro's and con's of treatments and hip surgery. His professional, helpful, thoughtful approach has very much reassured me about what I need and what will help me most. All of the team at Hayle have been great, from reception, to the nurses, X-ray team and Mr Norton as my consultant, so definitely recommend Mr Norton and the team there. I am very happy to know that I will be in kind, safe hands when I eventually have surgery.
